About your Quote

Your Quote is based on certain assumptions we make about your driving history, your insurance history and the type of car you drive. The following assumptions, and the information you provide, are the basis of the quote we will offer you. We will validate the below assumptions in question format throughout the journey. Before completing your quote, you must respond to all questions and agree to our data protection statement and our terms and conditions.

If you cannot agree to these assumptions, we will not be able to offer you an online car insurance quote today.

General Motor Eligibility Criteria

Your (or any person who may drive your car) driving history

  • Have never been disqualified from driving*
  • Have not been convicted of any offence of any nature or have any conviction pending* (this includes motoring and/or any criminal offence)
  • Have no medical condition that impairs your (their) ability to drive (as outlined by the Road Safety Authority in their 'Medical Fitness to Drive Guidelines')
  • Have not been refused a motor or household insurance renewal, in the last 7 years
  • Have not had a policy of motor or household insurance cancelled by an insurer (this includes actions following a payment or direct debit default) in the last 7 years
  • Hold a current and valid driving licence to drive in the Republic of Ireland

*An individual is not required to disclose a spent conviction when supplying information on past convictions. To determine whether or not a conviction is a 'spent conviction' under the Criminal Justice (Spent Convictions and Certain Disclosures) Act 2016 please click HERE

Your Car

  • Is owned by and registered in your name
  • Is not a kit car, van, car van, vans adapted to carry passengers or a vehicle used for hire or reward such as a taxi or a hackney vehicle
  • Is not converted, adapted or modified in any way

Your Insurance History

This No Claims Discount is not in use on any other active policy (you earn the no-claims discount on each car separately if you insure more than one car and the same No Claim discount cannot be in use at the same time on more than one policy).

The number of years of no claims bonus declared to us represents the actual number of years claims free driving you have earned in your own name

Main Driver (applicable to you OR your spouse/partner if Main Driver/Main User)

  • You are the main driver of this car and it is intended for your use
  • You are not the main driver of any other vehicle
  • You permanently reside in the Republic of Ireland
  • You will be contacted by via email with their quote details during the quote process
  • You may be contacted by us via email after the quote process and may unsubscribe at any stage by replying to the received email indicated so

By checking the boxes below I am confirming I have met all the Driving history, Insurance History, Car and Main Driver requirements in the above assumptions and that all information supplied and/or any future information provided will form the basis of the contract between us and yourself.
